We get a lot of questions asking about how to properly mix our Jack's 321 program (and how to know if something isn't mixed properly). Our very own "Wild Bill" Cody is here to give you the definitive mixing lesson straight from the JR Peters Laboratory.
Our Jack's 321 program is here to help you get your grow operation performing at optimum levels. To further dial in your hemp, cannabis, or other controlled environment crops check out our grow schedules page.
And Remember It's:
- 3.6 grams/gallon Part A (5-12-26) and dissolve then add
- 1.1 grams/gallon Epsom Salts and dissolve completely then add
- 2.4 grams/gallon Part B (Calcium Nitrate)
I put 1/2 gallon of warm water and put it in a jug. I then weigh out my ratios for how many gallons are in my system's of part A, epsom salts and Part B. Part A first then I hit it with the drill with the epoxy mixer attachment. It mixes super fast and thoroughly. I then add the epsom salt ratio per gallon for my system, mix then part B and mix. I put it in the reservoir and check numbers after an hour.
Numbers look good after application
Once my solutions mixed. (In the correct order). My ph sits around 6.8.
Should I add ph down at this point? Would that cause any ill effects. I’m trying for 6.0 ph. I’m also growing in coco
why is my solution a red color sometimes and a clearer green other times? What could be going wrong here?
If using a 1100gallon reservoir would you recommend pre-mixing each solution separately in 5 gallon buckets of warm water to fully dissolve each part and then pour them into the large reservoir one at a time? Or would you pour the salts directly into the large reservoir of cold water and rely on the recirculation pump to do the mixing for you?
Can I use this mix for kratky method hydroponics?
